Patricia Normandy-Dillard is a wife, mother of three children, and grandmother of two grandchildren, all of whom are the driving force behind her service to the community of La Mesa. As a resident of the City of La Mesa for 27 years, Patricia’s primary focus was to be present for her three children while they attended La Mesa Dale Elementary School, La Mesa Middle School, and Helix Charter High School. Patricia and her husband feel that their children’s education helped prepare them for college and great careers.
As a professional, Patricia ran her own publishing business, NQ Publishing. During this time is where she worked to generate business, establish strong relationships all while helping to build the community. She also was a private investor and employee for Southland Title Corporation. She has an extensive background in sales and business and while working for AT&T became one of the top producers, ranking number five in the country. Patricia holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a minor in Marketing from National University and a Master’s in Organizational Leadership from Point Loma Nazarene University.
Patricia always finds ways to volunteer her time in La Mesa and has organized several events that were designed to help build better community relationships. For example, she chaired an Annual Christian Women’s Seminar for her church in 2019 which brought in more than 200 women to the La Mesa Community Center and she is the Co-Chair for La Mesa Juneteenth annual event. This event provides exposure and support for numerous local minority-owned vendors to further their businesses. Patricia served for one year for the La Mesa Citizens’ Public Safety Oversight Task force in 2020 and continued serving as the Vice Chair on the Community Police Oversight Board (CPOB)through 2022. Patricia has worked to advocate and build better relations between the La Mesa Police Department and the community by implementing comprehensive training in making the community better for all stake holders.
