La Mesa, CA – This press release update relates to the incident occurring on May 27, 2020, involving a La Mesa Police Department (LMPD) contact with an African-American male at the Grossmont Trolley Station located on Fletcher Parkway.

Regarding video footage:
Once compiled, any video footage taken by the LMPD or third party sources (made available to the City) regarding the above incident shall be released to the public as soon as possible.
