Downtown Village Parking Permit Program Renewal

Renew Your Permit

On Wednesday, September 23, 2020, the City will begin accepting applications for Downtown Village parking permits covering the 4th quarter of 2020.  In order to support the recovery of Downtown Village businesses, the City is waiving fees for parking permits again in the 4th quarter.  All existing permit holders and/or those wishing to acquire a new parking permit should follow these steps:

  • Read the appropriate Downtown Village Parking Permit Program policies and procedures document.
    • If you wish to park east of Spring Street, read the East-End program.
    • If you purchase a permit for the La Mesa Blvd. lot or for La Mesa Blvd. north, between Acacia Ave. & Normal Ave., read the West-End program policies.
  • Complete the application in fillable PDF format (either the West-End Application Form or East-End Application Form).
  • Email the completed application form to cgonzales@cityoflamesa.us or mail the completed form to City Hall, located at 8130 Allison Avenue, La Mesa, 91942 (without payment), no later than September 30, 2020.  Please note City Hall is temporarily closed to the public, so walk-in submission is not available.  There will be a grace period for expired permits and vehicles displaying expired permits extending from October 1, 2020 to October 7th, 2020 to ensure that all participants have ample time to purchase new permits or renew existing permits.
Note: Please be aware that Downtown Village Parking Permits are provided on a first-come, first-served basis and that supplies are limited.
