Adult Classes & Activities

Located in Porter Park, the La Mesa Adult Enrichment Center draws an age-diversified participation, spanning the generations from men and women in their 40's to young-thinking people in their 80's and 90's.

The Adult Enrichment Center offers a variety of drop-in classes, no registration is required.  Just show up and participate, experience is not necessary!  Current drop-in classes at the Adult Center include activities such as Bridge, Dance, Movie Matinee, and more. You can also print the enrollment form, attach payment, and mail it in or drop it off at the Adult Enrichment Center at 8450 La Mesa Blvd, La Mesa CA 91942.

Grossmont Adult Education offers life-long learning classes that are held at the La Mesa Adult Enrichment Center (LMEC) for adults of any age.  Registration is going on now.  This session includes classes in creative writing, gardening, calligraphy, ceramics, portraiture, watercolor, low impact aerobics, Sit and Be Fit, Tai Chi, and Yoga/Pilates.

La Mesa Municipal Pool

The La Mesa Municipal Pool offers year round aquatic programs for adults including:

Pickleball at Collier Park


If you are looking for a way to stay active and get a great workout, try Pickleball. This fun game keeps the muscles moving and most importantly keeps players entertained while enjoying the great outdoors.
La Mesa's Pickleball is played on the tennis courts at Collier Park and at La Mesita Park. The tennis court at Collier Park s striped for four Pickleball courts. Come join the fun - there is NO CHARGE to play during drop-in and you do not need to bring your own paddles and/or balls at Collier Park.  At La Mesita Park, play is first come, first served on the four youth tennis courts that are striped for Pickleball. Please bring your own paddles and balls for play at La Mesita.
