Application Process

A Solicitor license is required for individuals or organizations that wish to engage in door-to-door sales or future sales marketing. While residential solicitation is allowed, vehicle flyers are prohibited. The process generally takes four to eight weeks for the license to arrive to you in the mail.

Completed Application

A completed application includes:


  • Proof of $1,000 surety bond naming the City of La Mesa (provided by applicant)
  • Three 2 inch by 2 inch passport-style photographs (provided by applicant)
  • Set of Livescan fingerprints (obtained at La Mesa Police Department)
