Massage Technician
Required Education
A massage technician applicant must have 200+ hours of education. If you have 1,000+ hours please see the application section for Holistic Health Practitioner. The process generally takes four to eight weeks for the license to arrive to you in the mail.
Inspection
The Heartland Fire Department requires an inspection of your business as part of the approval process. Please contact Heartland Fire for an inspection appointment AFTER you have submitted a completed application, with fees, to the Business License Officer. Heartland Fire is available at 619.667.1355. If you are considered a massage technician doing business in an already established massage location, a fire clearance is not required.
