LA MESA SEWER BILLING PORTAL
Visit the City's sewer website and check the "I accept" box to login. Then enter your 10-digit assessor's parcel number (APN), your sewer billing Location # or the street address.
Your APN can be found on the top of the billing letter sent by the City of La Mesa in July or on your County property tax bill. You can also call the City of La Mesa at 619.667.1338 to obtain sewer billing information
The City discontinued bi-monthly billing for sewer on July 1, 2012.
Sewer charges are now collected by the County of San Diego with your property taxes. For more information, visit the County of San Diego Treasurer-Tax Collector website.
A letter is mailed to La Mesa sewer customers each year in July with the amount of your sewer charges for the next fiscal year. Please contact the City to request a copy of your billing letter.
You do not need to contact the City to start or stop sewer service. This will happen automatically when the change of ownership is recorded with the County.
Your sewer charges are based on the amount of water used at your property during the winter months (November through March, depending on your Helix Water billing cycle). Water consumption information can be obtained by contacting Helix Water District.
Sewer Rates There will be no change to the sewer rates for Fiscal Year (FY) 2022. Sewer rate information can be found in the Sewer Service Fees table.
Proposed sewer services charges for FY22 can be found here. To locate your fees, you will need the property address's APN number(s). After the file opens, press the Ctrl + F keys and type in your APN number to locate the record(s).
Billing AdjustmentsTo request an adjustment to your sewer charges, please review the City's Sewer Service Charge Adjustment Policy to see if you qualify. If you qualify for a billing adjustment, you must complete and submit the Adjustment Request Form.
