LA MESA SEWER SERVICES

The City discontinued bi-monthly billing for sewer on July 1, 2012.

To view your current and past charges, visit the City's sewer billing website and check the "I accept" box to login.  Then enter your 10-digit assessor's parcel number (APN), your sewer billing Location # or the street address.  When searching for your sewer billing information, exclude using the words or abbreviations such as Avenue (Ave.), Boulevard (Blvd.), Court (Ct.), Drive (Dr.), or Street (St.) in the search field.

Your APN can be found on the top of the billing letter sent by the City of La Mesa in July or on your County property tax bill. You Can also call the City of La Mesa at 619.667.1338 to obtain sewer billing information.

Sewer charges are now collected by the County of San Diego with your property taxes.  For more information, visit the County of San Diego Treasurer-Tax Collector website.

A letter is mailed to La Mesa sewer customers each year in July with the amount of your sewer charges for the next fiscal year.  Please contact the City to request a copy of your billing letter.

Mailing address information is provided by the County of San Diego for the City's annual sewer billing notifications.  If you have recently moved, please submit a Change of Address Form with the County's Assessor/Recorder/County Clerk's Office. City staff is unable to update this information on your behalf.

Any questions can be emailed to: SewerService@cityoflamesa.us

Sewer Service

You do not need to contact the City to start or stop sewer service. This will happen automatically when the change of ownership is recorded with the County.

Your sewer charges are based on the amount of water used at your property during the winter months (November through March, depending on your Helix Water billing cycle). Water consumption information can be obtained by contacting Helix Water District.
